Napier is my 2nd choice anyway...

He and Aranda are 2a and 2b.

if thats the case i have no faith in woodward

The way this "firing" has been handled was enough for me.
Woody is a fundraiser, thats his strong suit

I have faith, but not in a "white whale." It will be a project.

some are saying cristobal is disgusting, a guy that is essentially 12-2 and 9-1 in their last 2 real seasons and won a rose bowl, beat ohio state at the shoe etc.....not proven

Beating Ohio St is always impressive. People say the PAC is far worse than even the ACC these days. So I'm not sure what to think of all that.

Iowa St beat them pretty bad in their last bowl game. I know, people dismiss last season. That's fair.

I feel like he would be a harder pull than almost any other name mentioned. Oregon has incredible resources/money and the ability to be the alpha in their conference for quite a while.

Cristobal did at Oregon what needed to happen for them to win championships. He built them into a physical team.

If Napier is it, that would give me reason to understand why we still suck over the next few years

How confident are you Riley is in?

I think we are close. And I don’t think 8/96mil gets it done. I expect us to get to 14 a year. Word is we are finding money now to pay assistants. I do know Riley has talked to someone. Not his agent. With lsu.

Because he’s going after top targets. It’s very hard to get a football coach to jump from a premier power 5 school to another. Money isn’t always the go to.

This is not saying anyone turned lsu down. It’s what happens when you have a coaching search.

Moorhead is already being thrown around for him to be HC which means Cristobal will need to hire another OC. He's a CEO coach that whole model so fricked if you don't land a great Oc and DC we just went through this excersise.

And followed up with this season a real season. Covid was a mess for everyone. He's playing better competition than Napier is regularly and beat LSU's #1 in Riley. Who has Napier beat lately? He's a bigger risk in the Sunbelt conference than what Aranda deals with. Both are unproven but you know what Aranda can do already with his time here. Napier is a bigger risk easily you don't know what he's capable of. It's not like he has been around LSU like Aranda.

I don't think he's a bad choice at all but he shouldn't be ahead of Aranda.
