And gets reward with the lending tree Bowl. Sure he wants to make $875K and play in the lending tree bowl. MSU may not be the most prestigious but holy hell we win 10 games we doing much better ??

Lafayette is a cooler city than Starkville.

No hate against Napier. Just silly what the keyboard warriors around here will say. Sure he would turn down an quadruple raise and playing in the best conference with the easiest pleased fan base in the conference. All for the chance to play Miami(OH)

Lafayette is pretty cool but let’s not acting like it is on any top 25 lists of anything.

I heard today he was holding out to see if Baylor opened up thinking Rhule would go to the NFL.

The hiring of Kiffin in Oxford was a game changer in Starkville. Going to be even harder for MSU to recruit and bring in top level talent. Not to many coaches want to fail and be fired in 2 years like Moorhead. Fired because you are stuck with prior coaches recruits before your recruits get playing time and become juniors and seniors with experience in your system. MSU isn't an attractive job.

This is how I feel as well. Napier isn’t turning State down for ULL. He is turning State down in hopes for something better to open up.

He’s making more than $875,000 and he can wait for a job where he won’t have to play Alabama, Auburn, and LSU every year

We want a coach that would take that challenge head on.

Moorehead would still be at state if not for tutorgate. Napier is a couple rogue players away from missing out on a bigger job all together. A scandal here or there and he is toxic. He will return a loaded New Orleans Bowl team next year though so he does have that.

Seriously nobody cares about Kiffin. If he is good great but it won’t affect us much.

Are we rich or poor? We can’t afford to pay three coaches at a time. Next coach will get plenty of time due to the fact we won’t be paying buyouts for multiple coaches.

Seriously if there is a coach scared of other programs I hope he does turn us down rather than take our money. If he was scared of Alabama LSU that’s one thing but A&M and Auburn is another. Our schedule is setup to win 7 games a year without major upsets.

That can't be so or he would have been fired when coaches normally get fired.

SEC West is brutal. He's smart by waiting.
