I've been noticing that there has been a lot of talk about how O lied about going after pro-style QB's.
This is just my thought, but he said that back in October, which was obviously before we played Alabama. I believe it could be possible that after getting completely shut down by their defense, that perhaps he changed his thoughts on what type of offense it will require to have sustainable success in college football.

After all, failure to recognize that times have changed and adapt accordingly is what cost Les his job.

Sure sunshine. That or he's already blown it with our two quarterback commitments

I admit that on that issue I would like to know what his end game is, but I do believe he had a plan in mind. I don't believe him there be an idiot.

We will just see whether what he has planned will be successful or not.

If out HC didn't know that we needed a more dramatic offense to beat Bama BEFORE the game, we've got issues.

Everybody in the country knows you don't beat Bama with a prostyle statue QB

But why say it publicly with one duel threat on the hook and one committed? Why risk losing a committed pro style qb by running your mouth and offering another dual threat that is committed to another school. I thought of this as a tactical error, nothing to gain and everything to lose

Stop putting stock into what he says, all he was doing is saying what he and his handler thought would get him the job. He has no idea what he wants or what he's going to do. He's relying on his buddies to come in and coach with him. If that doesn't happen, he's in trouble (and likely in trouble anyway). What up and coming OC or OC looking to move up the ladder wants to hitch his waggon to O? I wouldn't.

Need a mobile passing QB. The issue with some DT QBs is they are primarily runners who have strong arms. Need a passer who can run not a runner who can throw.
