I don’t think so. When asked about him, the answer was “No”. Dalton, I believe is the key to all of this. He came out of left field. He didn’t even know much about the university when he spoke about his candidacy. We now have a chancellor again, which is likely not a coincidence. I can only report what I’ve heard but it doesn’t mean it’s fact. I’m sure there’s ton of rumors going around but the stuff I heard is mostly coming to fruition and matches what others have heard.

Exactly. It’s the first “smoking gun” that explains why Freemans name has been linked since day 1 for this job but does not keep popping up as a serious candidate for other jobs.

Deals are never done until they are signed so I hope people on here will stop blasting people if what they heard doesn’t come true. Dalton entered right around the time Kelly was fired. I don’t think you fire your coach and AD at the same time unless there is plan in place. My source knew Kelly was being fired before the A&M game. I laughed it off. My source was right.

Verge said yesterday that Dalton will have nothing to do with Football, or sports and will be strictly focused on academics, and campus life.

I haven’t heard that to be true. What do expect people to say. I think Verge and people saying “No” is to stop the smoke. Verge is just going to say later “Mrs. Terry changed her mind and is now on board”. I do think they will find a way for him to report to Dalton if he’s a done deal because he wasn’t going to report to Rousse and the board did not want Rousse. I also heard the buyout for Kelly is a woman on the west coast and not a man. Time will tell if this is all true.

This is like playing the “hot” and “cold” game. I believe “Wolfcola” kept trying to indirectly tell everyone who it was on 11/2/2025 and people blew him off and kept walking away from being “hot” to going “cold” with other names and telling him he was FOS. Look at coincidences, it points to one person who has connections here. Go read the board b/c others have said things that are part of the deal. Could he change his mind? Sure, but as of last night, I haven’t heard that he has. I don’t believe this massive firing to make the university look unstable happened unless there was a plan and possible agreement in place.

Then I would have to say that it would probably be Holden Spaht's wife, from San Francisco, who is also a native Baton Rougian and an Episcopal BR graduate. Why it would be her and not him is lost on me...Maybe with the name Holden, people think he is a female.

All I know is there’s no date set now. Other obligations in the mix. I do believe Verge talking to him every two weeks is for a reason.
