My Miles Contract clause suggestion

Would this be fair? Miles can't be fired (or has a huge buyout) if he has won {INSERT # HERE} games the last 3 seasons.

To me a clause like this seems reasonable. It means he won at least 10 games once the last 3 seasons. The worst case is going 10-3, 10-3, 8-5...and then he would have to pick it up. I think anywhere between 27-29 is a fair number and since it is over 3 years it isn't long enough for the program to slip.
Note: Miles has never won less than 28 games over a 3 year stretch.

8-5, 9-4, 10-3 is frustrating, but it shouldn't get you fired. It actually shows an upward trend.
Basically you are saying that if Miles didn't upset Bama, or lost in the bowl game, that he didn't satisfy your expectations.
If Miles comes back, and Cam leaves, you guys will win 11-14 games next year

agreed. I prefer a 3 year clause, but we are on the same page. I can't see why anyone would have a major problem with it.

Yup, LSU should be better than Tennessee considering location.
The fact that Tennessee is better all-time says more about the decision making of AD's like Neyland, Woodruff and Dickey, and bad hires by your guys.

I was thinking something similar. I don't want an auto-renewing contract at 8-5 every season. That's just b.s. for an elite program. If he doesn't hit the contract stipulation, it doesn't mean he's fired or can't get renewed, but just guarantees renewal if he meets it.
I was thinking a 9-win average of the current season and previous season is a renewal lock. I'm cool with yours though.
Again - just an automatic thing, not a make it or break it number.

All three of you didn't read the rest of the post I guess.
You would have been 10-3 if you didn't beat Bama, or lost the Bowl game. That would have put Miles at 27 wins over the last 3 years. He shouldn't have been fired in that situation, that was my point.
