My main question about Kelly is how motivated the old mule would be.

Would he work relentlessly to improve the program, or would LSU be his retirement annuity?
He doesn't yet have an NC, which would give him something to aspire to.
Still appears to me that he intends to stay at ND and is using LSU for leverage. Who knows.

If he’s leaning ND for LSU it is ONLY TO WIN A TITLE.
The fact that he’d leave there to come here tells you how motivated he is.

I mean you figure the only reason he's leaving ND for LSU is because he wants a shot at a championship and that hasn't happened at ND despite being close a few times. Maybe the hunger is there to get a ring before his career is over.

Possibly. But of course he might also be incentivized to move by the prospects of millions more dollars.
