Multiple reports of multiple offers

I keep seeing threads thrown around that have (insert coach) receiving an offer and then other threads saying a different coach has an offer.
I just wanted to make it know to some of the fans freaking out about an offer being on the table. These offers require BOTH parties signatures. Just because an offer is made does not mean the deal is done. I said it previously, I think we the fans and the media are being leaked information all as part of the game. Some of it is true, some of it is not. I am almost positive that an offer WAS made to Herman, what my personal thought about that offer is that it was a negotiation tactic. Look at this hand while the other reaches around a pick-pockets you. It's slight of hand on a grand scale. The same can be said about the leaks from the O meeting as well as wherever some other poster got concrete numbers from (although in pretty sure his numbers are bull shite with O only being offered $2.75 mil). It's all a big illusion.
Here's what I think is actually going on. Fisher accepted a deal WEEKS ago. But, in order to avoid the media firestorm that happened last year, which left LSU with a black eye and Fishers name drug through the mud a bit, they needed to distract the masses so that both parties could come out unscaithed. It's been well documented that Sexton and Herman's agent have a connection. "Hey man, LSU is going to offer as a bluff, leaking to that big name Texas booster will give you big time leverage in negotiating to get what you want out of them."
FWIW I've been involved in high level negotiations for most of my professional career, it's not uncommon for these types of things to happen (of course my experience is on a much smaller scale). My gut tells me it's Fisher and that Sexton and LSU have actually played the media against themselves masterfully.
I really hope I'm right

So do I.
Unless Herman gets hired, in which case: cool. I'm happy.
As much as I'd like to hear about a "mystery" candidate, there are a number of reports saying CEO is the backup plan if Herman falls through.
We're starting disaster in the face.

Coach O only 2.75million is what gets me.. the next option for coach O is a school that would prob pay him 1 million or he makes nothing.
But LSU is going to pay him 2.75 to act like we were not idiots in the hire and make him appear to be a worthy candidate then call that BS a bargain. Lmfao
That's great negotiation there Alleva you frick

I actually think the opposite. No self respecting coach is going to take a deal for 2.75 mil in the SEC West. The lowest paid coach right now is Mullen at 4.2 (or close to that).

Then hire a real fricking coach
How can anyone say it's his dream job and he loves LSU.
But he would feel insulted to only make 2 million MORE a year to get that job.
You can't fricking have your cake and eat it.
SEC jobs have such high salaries because they are paid to stay and not look elsewhere.
What leverage does Coach O have on LSU?

All the leverage he needs if you think about it. If it comes down to O, all he has to do the threaten to walk and leave LSU forces to start over.
He's absolutely the cheapest option, but he ain't 2.75mil cheap. He could make more at a mid-major like Houston.
I also don't think it's going to be O regardless. His whole pitch centers around being able to pull Kiffen and Keep Aranda. No chance he does both, he probably won't do either if hired. Kiffen will be thrown out there for places like Houston once Herman goes. I doubt Aranda sticks around to have his former employee be his boss.

This...
As someone who also does high level, strategic commercial negotiations for a living, you would have to think that Alleva would have had a "deal in principle" locked up after the Bama game. I hope you are right, and this will go down as a masterful job by Alleva if true ( the TD leaks, Hornsdigest, ESPN smokescreen, etc). We will know by Monday.

Remember the last high profile coaching switch with Sexton involved had Alabama interviewing Rich Rod for 3 weeks.

O shouldn't even be an option!
LSU is already starting over, if we have half a brain .... with exception of trying to keep Aranda.
I'm really hoping the "O is still in it!" rumors are just to give appearance we let him do his audition and/or as a diversion.
Really hoping.
Because, otherwise, I want Alleva fired 5 minutes after hiring O.

So it's not his dream job? It's about money? How does offering him a 233% raise insult him?
If I were suddenly offered the CEO position of my company for mear 200% raise you are saying I should feel insulted I'm not getting a 400% raise because other CEOs are making that? Maybe I just need to prove I belong first.
