I think because people see it as realistic. I would be fine with him but Gary Patterson or Jimbo would be my top two.

Patterson just signed a new contract that wraps him up till 2018 I would be surprised if he leaves TCU.

I still don't see why that matters.

Patterson - I would make him say no and if so he would regret it for the rest of his coaching career.

Just not sold on him yet. If he was in year three or four and maintaining then yes, maybe. Curious, how many years had Curley been at USM when we hired him? what was his record in those years/

I hope we go the Michigan route and hire a search firm.

I wouldn't trust the Rant "consensus" to recommend our next coach.

I don't even trust Alleva.

I doubt anything said here would matter

Not knowing what LSU is doing is maddening

the problem is all these coaches just recieved extentions

Bo is the only one sort of unhappy and would "jump" back to LSU..so..those are the cards we have right now

I like the Jimbo hire
Mullen would be great also
Patteson is locked up until 2018

Sweet Jesus, you're comparing Mullen and Curley?

When you think of Curley think two words and two words only:

Brett Favre

Without Brett Favre, Curley would have been no one and never on LSU's radar at all. As it is, he's currently unemployed and got fired from his last job coaching HS football in Alabama.

I'm really not convinced Mullen would come.If he really turned down UF why would he come here? Some say he did, some say he didn't.Got an extension so something was definitely up.

Mullen would be okay. I am not sold on his recruiting as the FL folks said that was his big downside. Not a prob as OC but big prob as HC.

Patterson is the way to go. Like another poster said...make him say no. Offer $4m or more. And tell him you are willing to pay an OC up to $1m.

Those are my choices. Don't want Pelini.
