False my dear chap. Been going to the games since 1964 and have had season tickets since 1973 with my parents and I'm 55 and think it was a bad hire.

It's not turrible, but it's not a "we want to win championships " hire. It's a "let's see if we can get by ....maybe it'll work out" hire.

I'm 45, and I think it's the worst hire since Curley Hallman. Now go back to Cut Off, you inbred doofus.

Way to show your superior intellect with bigoted slams! SMH.

As to the OP, I'm 39 and born into an LSU family. I don't dislike CEO, in fact I really hate that many are taking any criticism of the coaching search and hire as a slight against Ed O. Many folks, myself included, had hoped that with the firing of Miles that the program would go all out for a homerun hire. That didn't happen, and there are countless reasons why that didn't happen, but at the end of the day LSU took the easy way out and chose a coach that no other program in the US would have even interviewed for a head coach position. Coach O played this marvelously, I have to give him credit for that, because make no mistake, this hire is nothing short of a coup.

Imagine if LSU's fanbase only consisted of LSU graduates? Do you actually believe it would be as prominent of a program? Some of you new age LSU fans are twats

95 graduate and haven't been this depressed about the future of LSU football since they didn't fire Miles last year.

I'd say false. People have seen this movie before. It doesn't look like the recent events that put LSU in its golden era for the last 16 years.

91 graduate and I hate this hire. Should have pulled out the checkbook and paid big to get Herman or Jimbo. If not those two there were other candidates worth taking a chance on besides O

But thanks for the useless generalization.

Most fans who don't like O hire never stepped foot in a classroom

Most fans who don't like O hire were Les Miles supporters

Most fans who don't like O hire voted for Hillary

Most fans who don't like O hire wanted JJ for QB

False. I think the OP must be a recent fan.

Graduated in the 80's and think this is a poor hire as it has the same feel as the Archer, Hallman and Dinardo hires.

We now stand on the doorstep of our journey into football irrelevance. Nothing against O, but fans that love this hire just don't see it and have no sense of the teams history and past mistakes that were made in seeking to maintain continuity, please the players or simply save a buck.

42. Life long fan, season ticket holder. I think the Orgeron hire was a very poor decision.

This is one of those posts that truly illustrate how poorly some people are of judging reality outside of their bubble.

My dog could make a logical argument against Orgeron. To not realize this is a true lack of intelligence.

Fans that know about football realize he doesn't bring much to the table in the way of scheming either offense or defense. For instance, Vandys HC was their DC this year. Ed has to be propped up with great coordinators.

You don't realize that this was not a good hire.

I'm 22 (very young comparatively I know) and only been a fan since I was accepted from out of state in 2011 but I am a bigger LSU fan than any of my friends from south Louisiana. Even to the point of going back and studying the entire History of LSU football to the point where I know it much better than they do and being much more involved since that point than they have. I'm completely disheartened by Joe Alleva but even more so by people who won't hold him accountable. The fact that the people really in charge are the ones who are allowing this to happen is sickening. I understand when he cries it was remembering his parents and what this job means to him/them but I think it just proved this was too much of an emotional hire.
