aren’t they dominating in a conference that they absolutely should be if those two attributes are indeed what his supporters say they are??
Napier is 21-2 in conference the last 3 years
The 2 losses by a combined 13pts to:
2020 to a 11-1 Coastal Carolina team
2019 to a 13-1 App St team

Im talking about the way they win Lester.
If Napier is a lights out recruiter and also has this impeccable process, why aren’t they blowing these half arse Sun Belt teams out of the water? Yes, style matters when you’re talking about a coach proving he’s ready for the jump from UL to LSU.
You watch them play and they don’t look like some G5 world beater the way that guys like Urban and Petersen did when they were earning big P5 jobs.
I just don’t think Napier has shown that type of readiness. He isn’t an elite mind that justifies that type of leap.
He’s proven to be well organized and his teams are generally well prepared. But what are the on field concepts that he brings to the table? Has he really done that much more than Hudspeth did when he had them bowling every year?
Again, if it’s just recruiting and “process” we’re always going to be playing for 2nd or 3rd in Conference anyway.

One plays in P5. The other plays in something is on par with a high level FCS league. In fact some of the FCS teams are better than the Sunbelt.
That's just dumb! I'm a Tiger fan but at least I can admit UL is in the top 25 and the team LSU beat last night by only 10 is in the bottom of UL's conference....

Aranda inherited a 11-3 team full of good recruits..crapped the bed the first year and has fared better this year but it is the Big 12

Aranda by far. What makes Saban so good is his prep for games. When at LSU, his players said the games were easy because of the practice. They were always ready. Just have the same vibe from Dave. Arandas players said they could come to him no matter what time it was for questions.

More impressive wins? Aranda. I could make a case for either in terms of their season.

ULL's win over Liberty was impressive to me. They looked good on all sides of the ball. I watched OM play Liberty in a close game earlier this season. The ULL Liberty game made me feel comfortable if Napier ends uo being the one hired.
