How lucky is MSU that they were in the right place, at the right time to be put in the SEC in the 20s so they could be grandfathered in? Cause y'all would probably be worse than UL right now if you weren't
That $43 million welfare payment they get from the SEC each year surely helps them

Dan Mullen is one of the best coaches in the country and the best he could muster was one 10-win season and a losing conference record in Starkvegas. Then he left for another job in the same conference. I have no idea how Mississippi State fans think they can get all uppity with anybody.

Now you are just posting emotionally. I get it. It must suck to know that your school only has about 5 years left of playing meaningful college sports before it gets relegated to where it should have always been. But that doesn't mean you need to lash out at others who are more fortunate

A damn Aggie opinion? A school who does less with more than any school ever? Because of resources alone their is no damn reason State should have a winning record against the Aggies in football, but we do. I’ll take shite from some programs fans but not the loser Aggots. Y’all don’t have room to say shite.
Other than having a bad arse coke head QB for a couple years, this is a fact. State has played for a conference championship 3 hours more recently that A&M. Let that sink in... They did win though.

I'd be happy if Napier moves onto bigger bucks and an SEC gig, but Moo State.

Hud killed it at Austin Peay this year. He’s kind of back on some radars

The problem is, the Land Mass has two SEC schools, when it only has the population to support one.
AL has 4,887,871, LA has 4,659,978, MS has 2,986,530.
If MS has one SEC school (call it Ole State), I think they would have a much more competitive athletic department, top to bottom.
Arkansas only has one major school, and it has a population of 3,013,825, so pretty close to MS. Arkansas has a stronger athletic dept than either Cowbell U or Ole Piss.

what is your gut telling you about Napier?

And Chavis as DC.

Yeah, but he may have to settle for a mid tier FBS school for his next step.

I’m always nervous about an SEC team sniffing around. We can’t compete with the money or exposure. The one thing giving me hope is that it’s the worst job in the SEC West and a bottom 3 job in the whole conference.
Maybe he waits one more year and goes to South Carolina to try kick Dabo’s arse (that relationship ended worse than the Alabama one).

i agree with you..
the sec west is not where i would want to break into that level of coaching and Ms St can't compete.
but money and exposure go a long way.
i'm 50/50

Pretty much yeah. If MS only had one SEC program it would be very good.

WE wont compete for National Championships but we also dont expect our coaches to compete for them. We are plenty happy with averageing 8 wins a year and will pay handsomely for it. When a coach starts winning 9 or 10 games a year they can go to a bigger school. If Mullen would have been content with Starkville he would have probably had 2 more 10 win seasons but looking around at the End. OF. EVERY. YEAR. cost him in the egg bowl and recruiting time after time.

He deserved it. Terrible fit. Lost confidence with fans, boosters, admin quickly. Fight at practice didn’t help. They’ve regressed.
