Good point, and I really believe that with a legit WR coach Tolliver would already be AJ Greening it for us.
Nah too much depth. AJ Green just had to beat Massoqaui(sp?). Lafell has put up a damn good season. Byrd was money last year and Stafford is better than our QBs put together right now.

eh... I doubt it, they would be 12 feet tall, could throw the ball 100 yards (50 each at their best), and they would run a 4.5 (Lee would slow down JJ's 4.1). Not to mention they would be a mix of "athletic play maker" with "decision making hard worker throw back". That combination would DEFINITELY be better than stafford.

However keep in mind due to the JL effect he would be guaranteed to throw at least 1 pick six per game and probably another pick and Hatch would ensure the uberQB couldn't throw an out or anything down the field.

I hated Monken as a OC candidate. Never as WR coch.
well ppl hated him as a WR coach, at least in 05, when it seemed everybody had the dropsies (except for Bennie B of all ppl). I don't remember much of anybody caring when he left. Doesn't much matter to me one way or the other, I just remember a lotta bitching about him once upon a time.

McCarthy isnt very good
Oh, I agree. I think next year he may leave, but there's going to be too much turnover for him to leave this year, and he hasn't done anything impressive this year that would help him with his quest for upward mobility.
I would love to have Monken back. I just don't think he does as long as Les is here.
ETA: I would also think that he stays in the NFL or if he does come back to college he tries for OC.

but at least with Jefferson's speed they could make the tackle after the pick.

Monken does not like LSU because Miles offered him the OC job. He told all of his friends and family he would be the next OC at LSU, then Athletic Department/boosters told Miles to hire someone with experience.

Leslie just couldn't resist that urge to promote from within could he?

I kind of knew the Monkens when they were here and when his wife told me he got the job I knew that the big money wasn't going to let it go through. I also think that is why Miles was so adamant about hiring from within for DC.

we have gotten zero recruits from the west coast so I'd just as soon see McCarthy go down the road. Our receivers seem to under achieve.

McCarthy never should have been hired in the first place. Miles could have done much better than this. Pure recruiter. Poor teacher. Couldn't technically coach his way out of a wet paper bag.The receivers need a coach that can teach them how to concentrate, keep their focus and hang onto the ball. McCarthy aint that coach. If he remains on the staff, Miles will be guilty of a double negative. Bad hire and NO fire.........

Think Monken wants to be HC. Hee was in the mix for La Tech. I just read his name where he is in the running for HC. Too many teams to remember which one.

I wouldn't go that far. He's okay, but a definite step down from Monken. And we need him to close on a certain recruit from NLA and FLA.
