Miles wants the job or there would be no interview

Why would Miles be interviewing with Michigan if he did'nt want the job. Don't say more money because he was probably gonna get that anyway. Hell a month ago 98% of the posters on this board wanted him gone. Now look at you. Sound like a bunch of fools. The real problem is that most are scared of change. There are good coaches available and we will land one of them. LSU will be a pre season top 10 or 5 and who wouldnt want to coach them. You people better learn to stop treating coaches like shite and expecting undefeated seasons every year on this board and for that matter in public because it was and has been happening to Miles. Miles is gone and LSU will be fine. I for one think we will improve in the coaching position for next season.

As a courtesy to his alma mater, which he loves dearly.

He didn't interview last time, why would he do it as a courtesy this time or to recommend someone else, he could turn that shite down over the phone. He is either posturing LSU for more money or is very interested in the job

courtesy and/or leverage.
Also, could be legitimately interested in hearing what they have to say.

Laughable.
Anyone with any business sense understands that he can leverage this into more money with LSU.
He'd be a fool not to listen to what Michigan is offering.

My sources say you're wrong

based on the position he's in it would be foolish not to take an interview from a leverage standpoint...his agent would probably resign.

I agree with just about all of your post. A lot of schizo rantards on here who were calling for his head a few weeks back are now hoping we offer him more money to stay.
The LSU job is bigger now than it was when we hired Miles, and we have him and Nick Saban to thank for it. We can and should be able to do better than Miles as our coach. If he bolts for Michigan, I'm not worried one bit.

The same reason anyone else would interview for a job when they already have one... to see what is out there. Hearing offers gives perspective, helps with compensation negotiations and is being responsible to himself and his family.

Miles loves Michigan like we love LSU. Les may want to help them locate a replacment coach that will do well with the personel avaliable!

This is standard practice on the coaching carousel. Miles doesn't just want to shun his alma mater.

Hate to tell you this big guy but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know this but as I stated he would have probably gotten that anyway. Just another dellusional fan.

The leverage angle is legit, but by interviewing and turning down the job again he completely embarrasses his dear old Alma Mater...not sure he's up for that

Which is why a maintain that IF he does indeed interview, he will be at UM next year. If the interview is cancelled, LSU and Miles have agreed (at least in principle) on a renegotiated contract.

I would have less respect for Les if he didn't interview with his alma mater.
I hope he stays, but he's doing what anyone with any sense would do.
