Sorry, but this type of thinking is delusional. Florida and Texas are the top jobs in the country and Florida had to go with a defensive coordinator. Miami is a pretty damn good job and they went with Golden Tate. Who did Pitt get? People just need to realize that Gruden, Saban, Petrino, Patterson, are not coming to LSU. And Mullen, Whittingham, Hoke, etc. are not slam dunk hires. People aren't tripping overthemselves to come here.

Florida jumped the gun, in my opinion. They didn't even pursue some top coaches.
Miami and Pitt are not comparable jobs.
LSU is in the SEC, has great facilities, a great fan base, and a great recruiting base.

People tend to forget that as of now (and Friday night) Coach Miles is still an employee of LSU. To comment right now would not only be inappropriate, but very likely detrimental to the task he's trying to accomplish AS an LSU employee.

That's a tad disingenuous. That "defensive coordinator" would have been my first pick (as well as that of a lot of other people) to replace Miles if and when he left.
Muschamp is ready to be a HC, and he will be a good one.
