I thought so as well, but he had one column a week or so back and I think he knew then. I did not hear till Saturday and had to eat a lot of crow for talking crap about him. Wally still has somebody on the inside he gets info from.

I'm not particularly on any bandwagon - there are a few that I'd be thrilled with and another handful that would be fine with me. And at this point its pretty much just conjecture on who would actually be the best hire - we really don't know.

I think Gundy and Briles are very solid coaches. I'd lean Gundy if I had to choose between the two largely because of age and he's fielded better defenses.

he is on admin leave but still talks to all his coaching staff everyday via voice and text calls. He is still in charge until all this can be cleaned up. I think he is Arkansas football right now, he will be our coach on a full time basis soon.

Mike Gundy... could this be the root of the "Arkansas offers Miles" conspiracy theory? Les Miles is basically untouchable at LSU; he's won enough that we'd match any offers if need be, and he's declined to pursue the Michigan job that seems to fit him much better than the Hogs job would.
But he does know both the Arkansas AD and Gundy on a personal level. Maybe that was the purpose of the "interview", much like schools may have talked with Saban about Dooley and Muschamp.
Seems like it would make sense, as I imagine Les would be a straight shooter about it. He doesn't shy away from competition, so he'd be honest about whether he thought Gundy was legit or just lucky a couple years ago

I read the forum on your sources and connection to Gundy. You think it will be Gundy and if we do not have who I think it will be today. Then on Wednesday we could have Gundy but I hope not.

Actually get a bump in recruiting, somewhat due to the lack of scumbag tendencies, also due to Gundy's familiarity with Texas and knowledge that Florida is on the other side of the fricking country compared to Texas.
