Great find, That clip makes a lot more sense now that we saw how Bert did after Pittman left.

Sure but Bert was even more of a smart arse that day. You could tell it hurt him that he left. I'm sure part of that was he knew it was a big loss.

Saw part of Pittman's PC video.

Laughing at him saying how much he learned from all the great coaches he worked for and totally skipped Bert.

the night Pittman informed Da Bert that he was leaving, Bert gathered a bunch of Olinemen and team and headed to pittman's house to beg him to stay. Didn't work.

And then he does that. Look, Bret had his good points at first with a decent staff. Once it was defined that he was going to be a failure at this job, nobody would work for him worth a dang. Truth Hurts. We are on the up, but it will be a slow, hard, trudging path forward.. IMHO

Pretty much spot on. There are probably very few coaches in D1 that could not have made a Bowl Game at Arkansas this year. Just so happens Morris was one of them. Our schedule was ridiculously easy. Our talent isn't great, but good enough to win 1-2 SEC games and take care of the non-conference.

Pittman may not work out long term, my first thought is this is more similar to Croom at MSU than either Luke or O at Ole Miss. It can't be any worse than Morris and that's a fact. If nothing else Pittman will earn some respect and have guys playing hard. That alone wins us more games next year than Morris 2 year tenure.

If Pittman doesn't succeed here long-term my guess is becuase of in-game coaching decisions. He may be great, IDK but we don't have anything to go off of yet.

BUT we have ZERO expectations currently and nowhere to go but up.

I have no idea what to make of this hire other than he's a good recruiter. Aside from that, we're at rock bottom so it can't get any worse. So I'm keeping an open mind.

You are obviously trolling. Anyone who takes the time to notice your pattern can tell you like sticking it to Arkansas when the chance comes.

Ehhhhhh.... No.

Sylvester Croom by all accounts is a great man and a good coach, but nobody outside of Starkville thought he was going to be a successful hire. Most of his connections were in the NFL and it was going to be hard for him to build the type of staff it takes in today's SEC. He was and is a great leader of men and a great role model for college athletes, but unfortunately that doesn't lead to contract extensions.

Pittman may have never been a coordinator, but he's been assistant head coach at 5 different schools in his career. That means the head coach recognized his leadership abilities to some degree. He's known as a great line coach and recruiter. He does have the connections to build a staff, and based on the floated numbers, paying them won't be an issue.

I think Pittman will turn out to be a good, not great hire for Arkansas, and when he's done the program will be a 6-8 win program that will be in great shape for whoever his successor is.

Pittman seems like a good dude but no way he should be head coach. I’d view him as a ambulance driver picking up an injured hog football program. He will drive them to the hospital and a doctor/ new coach will take over in a couple years However, this hire should have never been made with mike leach wanting the job but the AD got played by LK. Also, I might be wrong and Coach P is the next Coach O

We had Kiffin locked up but HY's pride got in the way when Sexton lied to him about Ole Miss having a better offer.
