Anyways thought folks might be interested. Again I have no inside info, just lots of time to spend surfing for info.

nah, Schiano is getting money from big time money guys in NY/NJ. Plus, ESPN and other media outlets will be up his a$$ because he's in a big media market.

Well there is talk of him playing for a deal to get his stadium upgrade since it was nixed...but I guess they had a lengthy interview.

The only thing I know for sure is my damn nerves are bad :P

If you don't hire Schiano, I expect Martin and Co. to receive some serious backlash.

Miles was y'alls' guy. Nobody was/is more qualified and suited for that job than him. Nobody. I kinda feel bad how he was treated by Martin and Co. even at the same time, we get to keep him.

Eventually if Michigan doesnt land someone, Martin will be so backed into a corner he will HAVE to take a serious run at Miles.

Not saying he would accept....but it isnt like the conditions of his buy out changed with the signing.

At this point I just want a good coach...and want it done 2 days ago.

Check ya later Rocket :)

I know there is the possibility of him still leaving, but I don't see it happening now. But, who knows...

Sportscenter just reported the meeting, so I fully expect Schiano to hold a midnight press conference and announce that he is still the coach of his damn strong football team.

Would have been tickled purple for him to be the next LSU coach. Michigan.. take him.

The governor actually came forward and offered to donate money to the cause - that stadium renovation is going through.

The interview occurred on Tuesday, btw...

I thought I seen today he had a 5 yr....2 interviews? Unsure...vicoed up tonight.

Someone posted Sean Payton is to be interviewed also.

Damn be something else if Martin really does have a list of 20 and is carrying thru like he said. Talked to Ferentz, tried to talk to Les, Talked to Hoke, and now to Schiano. Throw Payton in there and starting to actually look like a HC search.

We really do have no confirmations of deal offered/accepted...just terms if it was offered as that is way Martin works....supposedly anyways heh

Things that make ya go Hmmmmm.

Yeah, they freak out when GS is mentioned as a head coaching candidate elsewhere.

Miles at LSU(SEC) 33-6 (20-6)
Schiano at Rutgers (Big East) 37-46 (15-33)

If I was a Michigan fan I would be pissed!

I know a few folks around LSU last week that had their panties up into their throats. Never realized how hard of feelings some of ya had to Saban.

Some one said offer was 3 mil for 7 yrs...and another 3 mil to hire assistants. As a comparison they said all the M assistants this yr cost 1.3 mil.

That is probably all nonsense....but if true woooo chit...I could see winning big and soon. This guy is young also. Assistant coachs sure do help....having a coach that talks like a sailor does as well :P

Again...no inside info...just chit I am reading.

I'm a huge Miles supporter but I think if they can snag Schiano that would be a great hire. If Herbstreit breaks the news he's coming to Michigan I will personally kick his arse.
