But if Harbaugh was wanting the gig I bet they would come up with the cash. Not buying it. I think something is already done and they are just letting Les focus on his bowl game.

the dude who's doing the rich rod stuff in detroit has it wrong, he thinks miles buyout is huge, so he says it's hoke.
Miles buyout if he wants to leave is like $2 million, if it's in there still at all. It's only big if the school wants to buy him out.
Don't drink the kool aid. I wrote him and email and called espn to tell them, but I don't know if he's read his email or would even believe it if he did.

LM's buyout is ONLY for Michigan. It is $1.25 mil.
Brady Hoke's buyout from SDSU is $1.5 mil.
Edit: ^this might not be final. The contract extension was agreed to "in principle", whether it was actually signed IDK. Hoke might have been waiting to see if RR was going to be fired, and wanted to have something to fall back on if RR was retained.

Michigan has more money than almost every other college team. If lsu can afford someone, michigan can as well

$1.25 million.
Wow, that is a hugely steep price.
Michigan will just have to hire Iowa State's coach like Auburn did.

Don't worry, we don't want him

I did some searching and Brady Hoke's buyout is $1.5 million.
Les Miles' buyout for Michigan is $1.25 million.
I can't find anything about Harbaugh's buyout.
I doubt that they fire Rodriguez and pay his 2.5 million buy out to go cheap though.

Its not the buyout that they won't meet, its the 3.8 mil a year.

They paid $2.5 Million to buyout Rich Rod for God's sake.
Paying half that for an NC winning coach is nothing.
