Nobody wants that kind of drama with the football team. Football for right now gives off the pure, unsullied feel while we save the drama for basketball. Yeah, Freeze won some big games at Ole Miss and he personally didnt get in any ncaa trouble but come on...penny and freeze at the same school? Plus the guy was a well known sleeze bag around the city prior to his Old Miss tenure

Were 90% of coaches at a Memphis private school lying about jobs and having "inappropriate contact" with underage girls? Granted, these are only rumors but rumors that nobody forgets. The city already has a relationship with Freeze and it isn't a good one.

That's why I said rumors. May or may not have but you are going to hear about it. There are a few old rumors that he claimed he was going to get the lady tiger basketball job at one point. Another rumor was he was telling people he was going to get the tiger football job prior to him going to Arkansas State. Again, all rumors and probably have no merit to them but doesn't change the fact that people believe it.

I've never heard either one of those. Ever.
The other stuff... the stuff that supposedly happened at Briarcrest ain't even a little bit true at all. That was just some girl that got her feelings hurt and started spreading crap. Even started a facebook thing for a bit.
All that being said... I'm not sure that Freeze would be my first choice. Nor would I be disappointed if they got him.

And that's perfectly fair. I am in no way claiming to have any knowledge of anything. These are just observations from casual fans.

Like I said to the other guy, perfectly fair. Dont know the guy, not an "insider", only a fan of the Tigers. Anything ive posted is just my feelings on the fan base from social media outlets and conversations with other regular fans.

I never said in my post that I would "rip up my season tickets". Again, that post was the feeling I got from other fans. Would I renew? Probably not. I'm just not interested in hiring the guy.

That's fair. I don't seriously think it's something you'll have to worry about.
Although... they could get a two for one deal out of it. Melissa McFerrin's been being mean to her players, and some want her gone because of it. He could do both.

Yeah. I think Jeff Caulkins posted a pic from Fuente’s first game vs UT-Martin before the sellout for the SMU game for Gameday and ABC. It was raining and there were only around 5,000 people in the Liberty Bowl. That’s what Porter left behind. It’s hard to believe where the program is today.
