Is Tucker a defensive guru like Les Miles was for OL?

Think about what Kiffen has done with a depleted depth chart in only two years and that’s similar to Tucker. It’s way easier to go out and grab transfers and compete on the offensive side of the ball. Defense is so much more correlated to talent. Outside of a few gurus like Jim Leonard, it’s really hard to insert a bunch of 2 and 3 stars and field a good defense in 1 year.

That's all good and well. But while his team is having a good season in spite of that, there is no basis to think he's actually good at anything in particular. The story for Michigan State this year is that his offense is having a very good season. Not that he should be penalized for that, but if he's a defensive guy, how much of their success should we ascribe to his involvement? Seems like we should see more sample size from him before we crown him, right?

If the word is true Tucker is ahead of Aranda this admin needs the swamp drained.

No doubt half of them still have an obsession with thinking they'll get the next Saban so pluck a coach from his tree.
