We all know as LSU Fans we genuinely want what's best for LSU

We saw the good in him as a guy who younger coach who relates well with kids, Can also develop QB's and put points on the board ..(most of the time)

The guy in reality seems to be a Singles and Doubles hitter , But strikes out Everytime with the Bases Loaded ... Just what I've seen from his track record.

We Really Want More...Maybe LSU Dodged a Bullet in losing Riley.

This is a great thread. I wonder how many times we can remake it?

Bet you said the same when Saban left.

He was never my first choice. I would've been fine with it, but would've always worried about the defense.

There’s a major difference—Saban came to LSU, and later Alabama, to take on the toughest competition, while Riley fled the SEC as fast as he could.

LSU didn't "lose Riley". They never had him. People on this site just bought into a whole bunch of nothing. This board brought the Lincoln melt upon themselves because they chose to believe "insiders" who don't know crap.

I hope everyone here can finally agree, at this point, that Woodward keeps his searches so tight lipped that we probably won't know who the new coach is until maybe an hour or two before the official LSU announcement.

The smoke around Aranda has been dead still, meaning he's either staying at Baylor or locked down somewhere else. Since USCal is pursuing Riley, it's safe to say that Dave isn't going there. I can't imagine Dave remaining in Waco if he were offered the HC job at LSU, so it may well be Dave and it may well have been done for weeks now.

We just don't know anything. I'm fine with that, because we can't influence it anyway.

No doubt. But LR really doesn’t want to coach in the SEC. Every weekend is like the playoffs. The PAC 12 is much more appealing.
