He will pretty much have his pick of a college job. Do you see him dropping to the college level?

Yes. He will do like Herm Edwards

That'd be a helluva fallback plan for Arkansas once they get spurned by Kiffin. I guess it all depends on if Fritz has already inked or not.

He's 1 year removed from Coach of the Year, his team is currently .500 and technically still int he playoff hunt, and he's strapped down by a bust of a QB that he didn't pick.

If he can keep this defense together and get away from Mitch, he'll be in good shape.

I don't see it either and it would probably be a mistake. There's nothing wrong with the scheme he runs, it's Trubisky's inability to make the correct read... or any read at all.

Same can be said for Bill O’Brian. Salvaged that mess at PSU then jumped at the Texans job.

Bears would be dumb to fire Nagy. Trubisky is terrible, but they have weapons. Montgomery/Cohen is a good RB duo, they have pretty good receivers, O-Line can improve but it’s not bad. If they draft a QB or sign Bridgewater, i could easily see them being contenders next year.

Why? Can’t imagine any top tier programs rushing to sign a guy with zero college experience and a pink slip after 2 years as an NFL HC

I wouldn’t go that far. It’s not as creative as it looks, it’s a lot of motion pre snap and a whole lot of fluff that doesn’t really do anything. He also seemingly hates to run the football and has a tendency to cater his offense to his bit time role players instead of his best play makers.

Yep, Nagy has been getting destroyed by the local media for these things all season. For Trubisky being such a liability, you'd think the HC (who's also the playcaller) would attempt to run more and involve more players to help out his struggling QB. Instead he puts nearly the entire gameplan on Trubisky's arm.

IIRC, the Bears had 52 pass plays and 7 run plays against the Saints. It defies logic.

I think that's more of play calling issue as opposed to scheme IMO. He definitely should have leaned more on his running backs this year with their qb struggling so bad.

They can’t run the ball and it still crosses my wires when I see people say that Bridgewater is better than Trubisky. They both are just meh. You need more than meh to win in the NfL
