ESPN is also reporting that UT president Greg Fenves is more likely to keep Charlie Strong if Herman is not available. So here's what I know. No matter what ESPN or others are reporting, I continue to be told that Strong will not be retained come Saturday. Never say never, but I'm told that's the plan. I do not know if Texas officials are meeting with Herman's representatives. I will add that the level of donor and fan unrest over the past few days has been enormous. It has produced a level of public scrutiny on Fenves, Chancellor McRaven and Mike Perrin they perhaps did not foresee. Furthermore, it has given the trio a greater sense of urgency than they realized they needed this time a week ago. That's what I have
