Who wouldn't?

See...you know you just fricked up, right?!

2011 Auburn made $1.3 mil
2012 Arky State made $850,000

Dumb mu'fricka.

Dumped Arky State after one year, for MORE MONEY.

Left a HC job in the Sun Belt to a HC job in the SEC...poor choice, huh.

Texas damn sure has more money that Auburn.

Great representation of the Gump Nation. *golf clap*

you know how much recruiting is easier at texas

you know how much easier winning championships would be in the big 12, especially with the pseudo playoff coming. 12-0 in the big12 would almost always get a chance.

this is a no-brainer for gus or any younger-successful coach.

also, if gus accepts the texas job it will be his 7th coaching job in the last 9 years.

yea, 7th in 9 years, not exactly shocking if he leaves.

My Texas friends actually wanted Gus. They didn't want Nick. Interesting.

Gus bus didn't leave AU the first time for more money. He left because The Chiz told him to GTFO.

Anti, I know you're just throwing out stink bait, but in the event that you're serious there's a perfectly plausible reason why UTx wouldn't consider hiring Malzahn: he's unproven.

He's been a major college HC for exactly one year. It's impossible to know whether or not he can sustain any kind of success at this level. He caught lightning in a bottle this year, just like Bowden did in '93, and you didn't see top tier programs falling all over themselves to hire him either.

Sure, Malzahn's a hot property at the moment, and if wouldn't really surprise me if he coveted the Longhorns gig. But there are many far more qualified candidates out there, and I expect a few of them dream of that job too.
