I know it’s a long shot to get him from his alma mater but that has to be the first call

He runs a 3-4. I doesn't want to run a 3-4. It's not going to happen

Runs a 3-4. They’ve been recruiting towards a 4-3. You can’t keep flip flopping. You do need certain type of players for each. D-line and linebackers.

LSU would have mass transfers if they ran a 3-4 defense. LSU has the players right now to run a 4-3.

He's only been a coordinator for a few years.
You're telling me he'll only ever know how to run a 3-4 scheme?

He played 10 seasons in the NFL and has been killing it with Wisky.
I guarantee he'd at least be a big improvement from this year...

10 years in the NFL...multiple defenses.
He knows defense.
What he learned under Aranda was how to coach.
Now, he definitely could be solely a 3-4 guy, but there are plenty of coaches who "learned" 3-4 or 4-3 and evolved their scheme into a multiple defense that utilizes aspects of both schemes.

Sure, but I'm positive he hasn't coached one down in a 4-3. We can't do that. Just like I wouldn't want to bring in a pro style OC and force a spread on him. We need to focus on philosophies and get the best one. So if O wants a 4-3, look for the best of those. Don't force a hire
