honestly, that's one guy that just might be in it for the long-term as an OC.

Im not so sure. The guy did go to the natty as a head coach. That has to give him some juice.

I still think that Helfrich is the best option for OC instead of Kiffin who is a one and done guy who will be constantly looking for a HC job.

So it's gonna be either Kiffin, Helfrich, Canada or Gilbert for us. Probably won't know shite until after the bowl game.

Honestly if it is one of those, we will be in good shape next year.

Wait so their DC is going to be the interim for the bowl game and then the OC is going to take over full time? Well that's....awkward
Nah, applewhite is taking over now. Orlando will be DC for the bowl

No way on Helfrich. No QB development is among the things that got him fired - we've been there, done that. The spread with that type of pace is done as a base O in CFB. Most have caught up to it and it's a killer on your D long term.

Why? Kiffin hasn't shown anything as a HC besides the ability to piss people off.

This isn't a reflection on Kiffen as a HC prospect. This happened because Applewhite is likely the only candidate that accepted the rediculous buyout.

Houston's brass is sick of being a stepping stone.

He might be in it for the long run idk about the program though. Especially if he does like many people think he will do.
