Saban signs extension in March to coach thru 2020
Saban might leave Bama
Saban signs another extension, just 9 months later
Saban cannot ever leave Bama now
I'm confused by how this news is supposed to end any speculation. He told LSU he wasn't leaving in 2004. He said he wasn't gonna be the coach at Bama weeks before taking the job. How is this chapter even half way considered closed?

So Saban is going to stay at Alabama and be relegated to the second best coach at Alabama and in Alabama.
I thought all things pointed to him leaving but then this dragged out way too long to work.

Yeah, I thought that Saban didn't do buyouts or whatever.
So if Mack stays and Texas stays mediocre, we're right back where we started next year.

I think this was all or nothing for the Saban saga. It was now or never. He's stuck at Bama for the rest of his career now.

oh yeah, hes staying.. but that mack brown saga isn't over, he aint staying yet... i think a huge part was the possibility of Saban coming.. cause he hates him..
Now that saban's out of the picture.. mack will step down..
WHAT IF - this was all leaked so mack WOULD step down knowing saban was gone... then BOOM Saban steps in and he cant do shite about it!
