Our fan base is so easy to troll. Everyone posts Saban to Texas or some other place because they hate the fact that we are dominating college fb. If you respond to these trolls you dignify them. Who cares about baseless rumors. There is more chance of Malzahn going to Texas than anyone at Bama and that includes our assistant coaches. Here is a summary of the situation.

Saban is out pounding the recruiting trail hard. He met with Elam last night in home. Elam is the biggest target on our list (both size and as a prospect btw). He will be hitting the trail hard until dead period which I think starts Saturday.

Finebaum is reporting that Saban has a contract on his desk waiting for his return that will give him 7 mil a year. Apparently Saban has agreed in principle to it.

He has said on several occasions that he wants to stay and retire in T-town and he and his wife do not want to leave. Terry has also made similar statements.

He has denied that he has met or talked with anyone from Texas and his agent denies that he has talked to anyone from Texas.

I might also mention that Saban did not lie when he said he thought he would stay with the dolphins so I do not believe he has lied about any of the above. Saban believed at the time that he would stay with the dolphins. But if Saban went somewhere now it would make everything he has been saying a lie -- he will not tarnish his reputation like that. How could Saban possibly tell these recruits he is not leaving and then leave.

he most prominent recruit that recently signed with Bama was Hootie Jones who was concerned about committing to Bama because of the rumors. Saban assured him that he would not be leaving. I cannot imagine Saban lying to recruits -- it would not serve him well when recruiting at Texas or anywhere else.

Saban has the no. 1 class in the country and he continues to build on that class with interest from 6 of top 10 players in America. It could be the best class ever.

Texas is the most arrogant school in the nation. They are still pissed off that Stallings and the SEC pulled TAM out of their spear of influence and opened TX to the SEC. Although they would love to get Saban, Texas is strictly second string when it comes to their history. They have won 1 national championship since 1969. They won 2 prior to that. One fvcking NC in 45 years does not make you a top football power. Bama has won a total of 15 and we lead the nation in the category. Bama can match TX dollar for dollar and our people are not going to lose Saban to a second rate football team. And why the hell would Saban want to leave the no. 1 team in America to go coach for TX. It is a step down at best. It would be like John Wooden leaving UCLA for Kansas at the top of his career. Oh please.
