I have trouble buying the debt stuff. There is no way that an LLC wasn't setup in this situation with investments as big as these. The LLC would have the debt, but it would protect the personal finances of the Saban family for the most part.

I wouldn't wanna force it and that's not on my list of must have. But it would be an added bonus to have a Bama guy back there.

My perfect scenario:
Saban stays
Kirby finds a nice mid-level HC job to cut his teeth
Saban retires
Kirby takes over (assuming he has handled his HC job well)

Why can't we get China and Saudi Arabia in a bidding war for Obama to pay off the US debt???

It might take some smoothing over of some hard feelings but I'm confident Mike Shula will come back home if they call.

Im not a Mike Shula hater.

That man bit a bullet for the school. Took a job that no one else wanted and held us together (barely).

So there is a LLC.

No clue what it means. Not my line of work.

If that happened then REC is GOAT.

Smart to Texas
Saban stays for 3 or 4 more
Smart to Alabama

Wouldn't Texas striking out be a lot funnier than Bama losing Saban?

Can't wait till tomorrow! Let the bidding begin! Mark my words, it's not signed yet for either parties.

Not even remotely. If Saban leaves, I'll be able to see the flames from Atlanta.

You can't go wrong either way.

Of course, Texas could make a panic move to try to get Miles and the fun would make these threads look like something from the (Place where there isn't much action) Board.

Lots of lenders still ask for a personal guarantee, and most people are willing to sign them because they don't think they'll ever come into play. LLC's protect you more from being sued for damages more than financial losses

No. Not even close. No one personifies the lunatic fringe like Bama fans.
