I hate Alabama.

It is easily one of the best jobs in the country. And I'm biased AGAINST Bama.

This could certainly be nothing but it's possible it's something.

Was tweeting back and forth with a friend who goes to UT. My friend mentioned that he had heard Saban's wife was looking for a house in Austin. That tweet was then favorited by Sothebysrealty.ca. The Canadian version of Sotherby's Realty which has 2 offices in Austin and specializes in luxury houses.

Interesting.

Please. Texas fans would not behave all that much differently. There are morons in every fanbase. Hell, our fanbase lit things on fire when Lane Kiffin left.
Nope. Bama fans are all crazy. There's something about that crimson that just makes them different.

This is why the argument gets frustrating. A lot of you just hate Bama so much you can't look at it rationally. Bama is easily one of the best jobs in the country, anyone who's not biased will tell you that.

One of the best? No doubt

Better than texas?

Duh, that's obvious. But so is TExas, and they'd offer him more money, less pressure (don't kid yourself in thinking there's as much pressure at texas as at bama) and a new opportunity.

how can a bama fan not have bias in this argument?
Easy.

I can admit there are some good things about Auburn. Or LSU. Or Tennessee.

Can you admit the same about Bama?

It's always .1% of Alabama fans doing something ridiculous. The problem is when the other 99.9% are seeking the ridiculous person out to get their photo taken with them.

Alabama is also arguably one of the best coaching job in CFB. It's certainly way up there. I don't think the separation is near what some of the rest of you think.

The Texas job is the most lucrative in CFB.. well beyond base salary

I don't know. Mack was a win away from a BCS game and people were losing their minds. The similarities with Phillip Fulmer are astounding.

And a lot of you love Bama so much you can't look at it rationally. Texas offers a lot including a chance to do something no other coach has ever done.

I can see him being burnt out at Bama...

He just needs to win 1 or 2 titles at Texas and then they will run him for Governor.

He'll be CEO (basically) of the biggest collegiate sports enterprise in the US. UT Athletics.

John Wooden once told a story - he knew it was time to soon retire when a booster came up to him after UCLA finished in 3rd place in 1973 NCAA Tourney...and after Wooden had won 9 National Titles and said:

"You let us down, John. But we forgive you - just don't lose next year."

Next year UCLA won the title again and Wooden retired.

I think it is a problem that the non-trashy portion of the fan base looks up to the trashy portion, but I'm guessing you're alright with it.
