Nah. He’s already established there and comfortable.
Look at it this way. If you liked your job and where you live but another company offered you a job making way more money, you’d probably be interested in what they have to offer and would likely take the job. But if your current employer says to you “we will match their offer”, you probably ain’t leaving your current job and life behind in the city you are currently living to start over in anew city for the same amount of money. Moving sucks. Even for millionaires.
