Gruden is an all or nothing kinda coach... he'd either be a spectacular success or failure... when he does well it's really good... when he does poorly it's like a train plowing into a bus full of handicapped kids
Pinkel is probably the opposite - very workmanlike and solid... will slowly build Michigan into a 9 to 11 game winner IMO. A lot would depend on his ability to recruit there since it would be less about Texas and more about Ohio
The near can't miss guy who will win wherever he goes next is Gary Patterson IMO. I'm not sure he'd jump for the Michigan job but they would be crazy if they failed to ask

i am so freakin relieved right now. i would not have blamed miles had he left after the way so many talked about him the last 3 seasons and at the early portions of this one especially. but the man does nothing but win football games, recruit like crazy, graduate players, and run a clean program. what else do you want? i am very happy for this news.

I knew how to spell geaux just forgot the X...thanks 4 the help....fyi: my sister used to live in new orl.,firstthing I did was drive to BR to see the stadium,it was summer so I got in and walked the field a day I will never forget

I was just joking with you. Doesn't come off as well without emoticons. Glad all the brew-ha-ha is over so Chicken can turn them back on.
Took my kids to their first game at Tiger Stadium last year. It was awesome. Hope we get that home and away with y'all. I think that would be a great experience for both teams and their fans.

no offense taken...so how does our coach search appear to u guys...seems to me we look bad getting turned down by harbaugh and lester (if thats what really happened),a school of thought here is that our AD wanted Hoke all along and was just trying to please the harbaugh/miles crowd by seemingly goin after them but in reality he didnt actually make an offer....along with makin us look bad it drives hokes asking price WAY up

I don't know much about Hoke, TBH. Is he really the only other candidate out there the Admin. would consider? That Michigan Man tag can't be THAT important. Never know though, Hoke may surprise you if he gets it and surrounds himself with some good coordinators.

I guess I'm not sure...you guys waited a while to pull the plug on Rich Rod so I suppose it's not suprising that this thing is dragging out. I guess it's difficult to ax a guy who gets you to a Jan1 Bowl, but he's been a dead man walking for a while now.
The same thing kinda happened to USC last year. I want to say that Kiffin was option #3 or 4.
