I agree with this. Dollar for dollar. 4-5 million to any other coach available would be a gamble.

Well I think this is a good move if true.

Miles on-field accomplishments don't warrant a raise to this magnitude....

BUT from a business standpoint, we are increasing the stability of the football program. Recruiting class will remain intact, we are set to have a great next few years.

He agreed to an extension, and rumor is that his contract has no buyout.

Just my opinion, but from what he has to work with and the results, Patterson, to me, is one of the top 2 or 3 coaches in the country. Ya'll can fire at will.

That's a reasonable opinion. I'm just not sure how willing he'd be to leave TCU.

Someone posted earlier that he did just sign an extension with TCU, but with "no" buyout clause. That stirs the pot a little.
