Pelini- $4M Lump Sum Pay Out 2021

Orgeron - $17M paid out over 4 years

LSU can meet Bo Davis' asking price if they so choose. He's a top notch DL coach and big time recruiter. He has the NC rings on his fingers to flash to recruits. Hopefully LSU can persuade him to leave Texas and come to LSU.

Yes LSU can. But will they? Probably not. I don’t understand why people don’t think LSU has money. They have a ton of it, it’s just when and where they decide to use it

This. Have to be smart and dont want to be THAT program that’s throwing around absurd amounts of money. Would he have been a superb hire, yes, but what happens if you had paid him $1.3M and his agent claims someone else is coming for him… gets into lala land real quick just for a dline coach.

You’d probably also have to give other coaches raises as well if you bring in Bo for over $1m

Probably the coaches that engineered the number 1 offense would want some more if the D line coach was making that much

We will never be A&M bad but it certainly does seem we’re throwing money at suckage a LOT these days. Baker is objectively speaking an upgrade, what he did at Mizzou compared to how it was before he got there, you can’t argue with it, but I do think it’s weird that Mizzou seems to not give a shite? They could’ve matched.

Could be a multitude of reasons why they didn’t go higher.

One - he told them don’t bother, we’re going back to BR

That's awesome. A criticism that works for literally any coach we hire. "Duh, if he was that good why were we able to hire him, huh?" You've won the dickhead prize.

What blows my mind is how right when we gave Ed that big contract he just slacked off and didn’t do his job.

Seems like he was just looking for a payday
