Love the fast-paced Offense with urgency that Herman employs

So damn refreshing to see his offense compared to the slow, huddle every down, dog pile offense LSU seems to put out every game. (Yes there are exceptions like last night)

4th and 2, and Herman goes HUNH w/ 5-wide.

The mix in formations and plays ran out of them is fun to watch. Glad to see their defense show up too.

I'll be honest. As an Ole Miss fan, when Freeze does this, it gets under my skin some. Being put in 3rd & short and 4th & short have made me drink lots of alcohol with a spread offense. Just seems like we can't get the necessary two yards at times. Probably would be different with a Guice back there, but still. It's two damn yards!

I'd rather us huddle every play. I also like lining up under center. I just don't like the plays we call in those formations.

I see where it could frustrate you, but to me, it just proves the coach is willing to do whatever it takes to score points, and isn't stubborn enough to always do the obvious.

What if I told you....

You can call plays WITHOUT huddling, thus saving 5-8 seconds every possession....

I see your point as well. I've just seen Ole Miss have to punt so many times after being stopped on 3rd & 2 and turning the ball over after getting one yard on 4th & 2. Or bring in our "running quarterback" or our "jumbo package" in those situations which drives me to my liquor cabinet.

What does offense have to do with defense? A&M and ole Miss don't have near the talent in the secondary that LSU has.

From what I saw, his D was worn down the minute they stepped on the field.

Yeah the spread can be just as one dimensional as the pro set. If you can't line up and run straight ahead when necessary, you have a problem.

He threw the ball 64 times today, that won't fly against top quality defenses.

And it's been that way ever since Freeze arrived in Oxford. I love the offense don't get me wrong, but it definitely has its downfalls at times.

This is actually one of the positive aspects of Memphis' offense. They run a lot of gun and pistol, and they hit the middle with the RB and attack the edges with the QB and the WR screens constantly. They have more run/pass balance than a lot of spread teams.
