all the leaks caused reporters to ask which then caused him to get mad and say no.

I remember the time I turned down a $12M/year job because my old boss found out about it too soon. It was super embarrassing that I wasn’t the one to tell him on my terms so I decided to stay for less money. You know….. out of principle.

I’ll say this, internet message boards attract people who are dying the be the first to break news and scope the mainstream media and that causes a lot of smoke which could easily derail a deal

No, he was never leaving OU. He used the threat of leaving for LSU to drive up the price. His leaving was a fantasy of this board and some reporters and bloggers who were driving the story.
