eh, it's pretty much known he's leaving for another program. It doesn't matter what he says to them. They know.

Taggart is a good coach and I'm not trying to argue for one or the other as our next coach. but its pretty hard to argue that Taggart is better. he's certainly got more experience as a head coach, but he's never had a season even close to as successful as the one Herman had last year. Taggart's best season is 8-5. and he's got the exact same record as Herman so far this year. Hell, Taggart has never even coached a team that won a bowl game. obviously he's taken on jobs that needed rebuilding, but he's never taken them beyond being slightly above average at best.

Taggart's record as a Head Coach:

WKU: 2-10, 7-5 (no bowl), 7-5 (left the team before bowl game)
USF: 2-10, 4-8, 8-5 (lost by 10 in Miami Beach Bowl to WKU, his old team), 6-2*

*this year so far

Good thing LSU hasn't had this problem. Could you imagine the problems the LSU team would have if there was rumors of a coaching change? It would be total mayhem.

Bitch about Herman, but I would take him in a second. He is up and coming and can take us to greatness, IMHO.

I like Taggart but this kind of thinking had many people stumping for Derek Dooley back in '09.

He's not ready for this job but I've said Ga Tech should have him on speed dial.
