they are out of their minds with reports that LSU wants Jimbo. who knows what's going on? fact is I don't get the feeling that the fanbase is superexcited about Jimbo. we could do worse, but he's not my first pick.

I dont really care if its Jimbo or not. In fact, I hope woodward has a deal with Jimbo that he wont deny anything until we actually sign a coach.
Its just comical watching some of the aggie posters deal with the possibility that theyll go back down to dog shite again.

We've done the "8&4...9&3" seasons to death. I'd rather Aranda or Napier to Jimbo. We know what his ceiling is. The other 2...not so much

How about also.... 1st Round draft pick QBs that he actually developed?
There are only a handful of active coaches that have won a Natty.
Pretending that the "next big name" from some low-tier Group of 5 team is going to be the next Saban is fun and all.... but it is not the same as a coach that's actually climbed the mountain.
I'm not saying Jimbo is the best coach, or even the one they are going to hire.
But, anyone wanting Napier or Aranda is basing it on hope and opinion.
Jimbo would not be a bad hire.

1 such as other notable coaching legends like Miles/MeatEd/Chizik. What has he done since? We fired Les after an NC and he has a better winning % that James Bob.
