Lincoln Riley’s Press Conference- Let’s take a deeper look

Reporter: “A lot of speculation in recent days connecting you with the LSU job, or talk around that, uh, have you or any of your representatives had contact with them and what’s that like to handle that in the middle of the season?”
Riley: Shrugs, looks down and closes eyes when LSU is mentioned, “There’s nothing to handle, it’s pretty easy” (handshake deal already made? / mind made up and is staying?)
“I coach the Univeristy of Oklahoma football team” (Only for the remainder of the season? Provides no assurance other than my position hasn’t changed yada yada coach speak)
What other clues/ BL signals are you getting from that video?

The fact that he didn't outright shut us down like Jimbo did yesterday is a good start.

98% of this board consist of two types of people.
1. People that will look for any little thing and turn it into meaning it's a good sign he's coming to LSU, because they want him to (what you did in your OP).
2. People that will try to downplay any sign/source that says he may be coming because they don't want him, or don't want to get their hopes up incase he doesn't come.

Jimbo didn’t shut us down, I think it’s pretty clear SW is all in on Riley and Jimbo’s trying to play it off that SW didn’t offer him like the world expected.

He needs to work on his poker face. He/his agent is talking to LSU. I doubt he ultimately leaves Oklahoma. They will match whatever LSU offers.

When I hear jimbos statement and Riley’s statement I speculate that Riley and LSU are in the red zone and Jimbo has been told it ain’t gonnna happen for him. Again.

Jimbo would be dumb to leave A&M now. LSU can’t match what he’s getting when you factor in everything beyond his salary.

I just had the chance to watch the press conference. He never did answer the question asked, he left the door open for a lot of speculation for sure. I’m trying not to get too pumped up about it until it’s official, but he sounded like a guy that didn’t want any part of the at question right now to be honest.

He said everything you would expect him to say if he has already reached a verbal agreement to come here. He also said it in a calm, resigned manner.
Here's what he didn't say
1) I'm not leaving Oklahoma
2) I love Oklahoma
3) I will never coach anywhere else
4) I will not be the coach at LSU next year.
