What makes him loyal to OU???
Born in west Texas. Quarterback at Tech.
I don’t see why OU is the end for him.

Look how he continually looks down and then back to the reporter that asked. The look away is his tell that he is thinking carefully about his words and making sure that they are what he wants to say. Making sure he doesnt slip up.
Now would you be that careful and think that hard if you had no intention of taking another job? I dont know, but the question has to be asked
Peak Coaching Changes board would be sending this video to a body language expert to examine

I dont know about his expression but I like his words
“I coach at the University of Oklahoma. You know how I feel about this place and this program," Riley said. "We’ve all been down this road many times before. You guys know where I stand and that hasn’t changed."
not quite "I wont be the coach at Alabama" but close.

Because where he’s from Texas & Oklahoma have been the end all be all for the last half century. Now that they’re moving to the SEC maybe he realizes there’s no more skating by on Big XII Easy St so he may as well jump now before it’s too late.

He could have easily said
No I have not talked to lsu. I will not be coaching at lsu. I will be the coach of OU next year and beyond as long as they’ll have me”
But no……

The answer sets himself up perfectly for.
“ as I said I love this place …. And I would love to be the coach at OU . But the offer to stay doesn’t get there and I have to do what’s best for my family and career …..”
