Fwiw, I think you're passing on info from your friend and you believe it's valid. And, based on your trust of him, he likely feels confident, too. The point is: until the ink dries on a contract for both sides, it's not a done deal. If you believed Miles to Michigan was going to happen until the info leaked, for instance, this could end up being similar, and you're banning yourself for no good reason.
