Hard to distinguish noise from fact. Unverifiable at this point. But, this is out there.

LSU plays Florida every year.

I, for one, would be thrilled with Meyer leaving, especially if Florida hires another Ron Zook.

It may not be true that Urban Meyer is considering Michigan, but it is not beyond belief either:

He has routinely flirted with Mich over the years, including putting outs in contracts for the Mich job.

It is rumored that he does not get along well with his current AD, Foley.

And Mich, contrary to all "evidence" has plenty of money.

Lloyd made ~$1.5 million, his staff ~ $1.3. Mich athletics runs a $7.0 million surplus. And the new stadium revenues have not kicked in yet either. So it would be very easy for B. Martin to throw another $2-2.5 million at the HC position and another $1-1.5 million at the staff pool.

Urban Meyer built very successful programs at BGSU and Utah. Not great recruiting draws. Now he has easy access to talent. But it is his style that is winning. Should he leave for anywhere else, he knows he can win. He has already proved to himself and others that his "philosophy" wins wherever he takes it. So, for him, it is not the program he is in, but what he brings to the program that makes it go. If he wants to come, he will, and he will be very successful.

He has everything he needs at Florida. He'll be the frontrunner for the National Championship next year at Florida. Why leave?

you know what? I am beginning to think that Miles is going to Michigan, and Jimmy crack Corn, I don't care.

We've got a lot to enjoy right now. Miles is our coach at this point in time and he's taking us to the championship game. AFter that, we'll worry about our next coach.

Does he have everything he needs at FLA? He is soemthing like 5-5 vs. the tough and getting tougher SEC West. He has a good offense (if he can escape key injuries), but will the defense come up to par?

Recruiting is getting tougher with Saban, Miles and now Petrino in conference to go with Richt, Spurrier and the new mid-majors like UCF and SF now getting attention from recruits.

Maybe he is loaded. But you need luck to just get to the NC game (LSU a case in point). If there is friction with the boss, that is one reason. Is the wife/family happy? And how much of his flirting with Mich is just coach speak and how much is really heartfelt?

Only Urban Meyer knows the answers!

I don't think meyer leaves anywhere soon unless he wants to try the NFL. If you noticed, he has always advanced up in the coaching world and as of right now michigan would not be a step up from florida. Also they might start in the top 5 next year and be a front runner for the national championship race with tebow being a junior

I believe Miles is staying, but if they don't have an offer out by Christmas to someone then I think it is apparent that all the Miles talk was to try and protect his team for the NC game before he leaves.

I reiterate, I do not think he is leaving. But if Michigan has not made an offer to a serious candidate in two weeks, I will be worried.
