When do you start getting nervous?

IMO, if they don't have one by Christmas the speculation on the rant will be through the roof.

Are you guys really this nervous nellies? Why?

You are going to the Championship Game with a great future with or without Miles. But he's already closed the door on Michigan and said he's staying at LSU but you're still worried? WTF?

Agreed. As of now, I'm pretty convinced that Miles isn't going anywhere. However, as you said, if Michigan doesn't have a coach by Christmas time, I'm definitely going to begin questioning what the hell is going on.

They need to hire a coach by next Friday or I, for one, am going to start worrying again.

if UM doesn't have a coach by Christmas, what does it matter? Seriously, that's a bad question. They have a "list" of 20 candidates according to reports and their AD doesn't seem to be in a rush. It's not like their waiting to get miles after Jan 7th...

it's UM's problem, not LSU's. I for one think Miles will be at LSU at least through the next 4 years.

If you could be guaranteed that Del Rio, Saban, or Spurrier would be coming if Miles left, would you still be nervous?

I really don't care either way. LSU is in a win-win situation (well win if he stays and hires Tenuta).

Because speculation will crank up again that Michigan is waiting until Jan. 8 or so to offer or announce Lester.

supposedly the only reason michigan wont hire a coach between now and the michigan bowl game is out of respect for LC....BUT if UofM doesn't hire one within 2 days after (jan 3) then I think you may have something to worry about....then it may not be till jan 8...the day after lsu kicks osu's a$$ all over the field....

a friend of mine is a scout for UofM and told me the LM door is the slimmest of open....a sliver...very doubtful to me and him that LM will be leaving lsu

I thought people from UM honored integrity and their word... if so, they should understand that LM is built like them, and is not a slimball like saban or petrino... that door is shut my friend, Skip Bertman's recent comments about LSU being a better job IMO glue it shut. he wouldn't of gone out like that to diss UM unless he was 100% sure Miles was LSU 100%!!!

If UM does not have a new coach by the BCS game, it is time to be worried. No team wants to be without a coach that long while recruiting is in the balance.

I respect what Miles has said, I just hope he's true to his word.

It seems like the best thing for Michigan to do is to take a wait and see approach. As the powers to be are obviously indecisive and are in fear of further rejection, they could wait until 2012 when Miles contract expires. At that time, Michigan could hire Miles if both agree or alternatively they would be in a position to see if any of the young Bo clones had progressed enough to coach their historical program. They would be able to play in the meantime without a head coach and would probably do no worse than they have with Carr. If they get on a real run against TOSU they could opt to not hire a head coach and save millions to be used for better pursuits.

I agree. I also agree that people will get nervous at some point.
The real question that all football fans need to ask themselves is whether the coaches have hijacked our schools. To think that schools like LSU, Arkansas, Alabama, and a host of others are out there kissing a man's arse to take a job that pays millions is absolutely amazing.

How did we ever get along without the likes of Saban, Miles, Petrino, Tuberville....?

Why get nervous? Les is not going anywhere. Do you think Bo would have approved of Miles pulling a stunt like that?
