With a shitton of injuries including QB1 in that down year at FSU. Now he again has QB1 down. A few rough weeks, 2 losses, and things have stabilized a bit.
frick that excuse. I understand the admin at FSU pretty much drive Jimbo away and he was going through a divorce, but he literally did the same thing there that O did here- he stopped giving a shite and let his program fall apart. He started the ball rolling on their precipitous decline. Those who came after made it worse, but Jimbo’s last two years weren’t just about injuries. It was him no longer running that program at the same level.
I’m not saying that Jimbo and O are on the same level as coaches. That would be a ridiculous statement not borne out by any of their track records. However, Jimbo was guilty of basically quitting while still on the job like O. The big difference is that Jimbo had an easy escape hatch and was back to caring again after starting over.
All that said, the fact that Jimbo let FSU slide as badly as he did is a red flag that many of you ignore. In the right circumstances, that could happen again with him elsewhere.

I thought it was common knowledge that Jimbo was known to be a poor manager of his staff at FSU. That’s how and why the wheels fell off of a storied program.
Jimbo would be a bad hire.

Jordy had him on his show this week. One of his comments that stood out to me was, "There's a difference between collecting talent and building a program." I couldn't help but think it was a veiled shot at O.

His spots on Jordy’s show are clear attempts to market himself, he barely discusses his current team . Jordy just basically lobs questions that let him read his prepared sound like Saban bytes
