If he gets the offer, he goes.

It all depends on the timing and the rumored power struggle at UM.

Having not "removed" his name from contention and being "gone" are two very different things...

I don't think anyone would argue that Miles is interested in the UM job to "some" degree....

At least - as a negotiation tool to improve his contract with LSU

At most - it's his dream job, which he wants and there is little or nothing LSU can do to change that.

Regardless of which, there are other issues at play.

First, there is some debate whether Miles is UM's first choice.

Secondly, the old saying "timing is everything", is an old saying for a reason...
Even if UM wants Miles and Miles wants UM...the timing MAY just not work out.

Long story short - I'm holding onto hope that he stays...but I wouldn't bet the farm on it!

At the same time, I wouldn't bet the farm he's gone!

if he's not then bill martin should be fired. i'm not a les fan, but when you go after les you're oging after a les-crowton combo most likely, which is exactly what UM needs

also who else is there? there are only 2 legit candidates: les and brian kelly. anybody else would be an embarassment

this is just LSU optimism talking

you dont think the timing will work out because you don't think les would leave before the title game

the timing of our games is irrelevant to UM. but it may end up screwing us

oh, and he's goe

Any new thoughts after our loss to Arky???

As stated earlier, Coach Miles will stay (doesn't matter why: offer, no offer).

Only Pelini will be leaving, for Nebraska and I say good ridance...

i still say 99 percent gone if offered. The guy is struggling to win his conference with the most talent in the nation... i think he sees the writing on the wall.

Bingo!! Skip need to beg Mich to take Miles. He has been pulling games out of his arse all season long and it finaly caught up with him. His game management today was awful.
