Ok, just so I don't misunderstand, everyone's top two choices are a couple of guys, Saban and Spurrier, who are a combined 0 for their last 9? Can anybody here tell me when the last time was either one of these guys had a win?

I swear to God once somebody has a good reputation no amount of losing can tarnish it. Conversely, once somebody like Miles has a bad reputation no amount of winning can repair it.

SS and Saban won championships from the ground up...meaning, things were not very rosy when they took over..

South Carolina is just too tough a place to win...Players... Players!!!!! Must have players...

combined with great coaching!

Miles walked right into a great situation...zero titles so far...and the way things look right now..we probably won't win this year...a shame...but if we get the right coach this time, I can handle the loss

Got it, Zee. They both have historically won championships and are therefore great coaches, despite neither having won since September (or whenever).

I therefore nominate championsip winner Lou Holtz as the next coach at LSU
