It’s going to hurt very badly when he rolls out of bed and rejects us before noon

yeah, I'm torn. Not sure how he'll do in the SEC but I love the guy and hope he makes it, except for one game in October

He's crazy so he probably wouldn't just leverage UT's desperation for money like ever other coach.

If they could have had Leach...Why did they ever even call Schiano? Excited to see the pirate in the SEC but the Vols don't deserve him.

He’s a good coach no doubt. My only concern is that he might be a perfect fit for a place like Lubbock or Pullman. I worry his shtick won’t go over very well in a fish bowl like Knoxville. But given the fact that 12 hours ago we nearly hired Dave Doeren, I’m good with it.

Because Schiano is a good coach.

Would this be the most all-time example of a program falling upward? Insane to go from fvcking Dave Doreen to Mike Leach.

leach should have always been their #1 target. currie was an idiot to have schiano, doeren, and sumlin above him.

Leach is the only dude crazy enough to make that move after this week! But he would pull it off, and UT would be the luckiest fricks on earth!

I've never really rooted for a team in the east, but if this happens, I'm gonna go all in on Tennessee.

My money's on Leach. I'm serious too. He's been like a grandmaster chess player playing without a queen at the start of each game.

Don't have a lot of faith in Leach in the SEC.

To me there are a lot of coaches out there that adopted alot of Leach's Air Raid but evolved it by adding a running game, RPOs, and zone reads.

Coaches like Morris, Norvell, Sumlin, Heupel, etc...have more upgraded versions

He did pretty well as OC at Kentucky.
One chapter in his book is about going to Tiger stadium the first time with Kentucky.
One of the funniest thing I’ve ever read.
Im incredibly excited he is coming to the SEC.

I'm rooting for him, but I'm not sure how much success he'll have there. His offense is very simple. There's like 3 or 4 formations they have and all of the routes are based on reads against the defense. UW shuts it down every year just rushing 3 and dropping 8 and he still refuses to run the ball.

He will fit in when UT becomes a scoring machine.
ML is a genius.
