‘Lane Kiffin is definitely on board if Tennessee gives him a call’

Lane Kiffin has only been out of the SEC for one season, but he could be back sooner rather than later.
ESPN’s Chris Low went on Jayson Swain’s radio show in Knoxville and had some very interesting comments regarding Kiffin’s interest in the Tennessee job.
“Lane is definitely on board if Tennessee gives him a call,” Low said. “That’s not going to happen, but as he told me, ‘People break up all the time and get back together.'”
Make the call Tennessee

Kiffin is such a lulz worthy situation. I mean with most coaches having success at a smaller school, everyone knows he's looking to move up but he's very guarded about it. Lots of coachspeak "happy to be where I am, only worried about my team and our next game."
Kiffin never actually gave a shite about FAU. It was only a temporary means for moving back up the head coaching ranks and he hides nothing about his desire to GTFO.

I would take Lane fricking Kiffin right now over Chip Kelly or Merlins.
God damn I'm nearly at full froth right now just thinking about this reunion

SEC needs both Kiffin and Leach

Don’t think Tennessee administration would be on board after the way Lane treated them last time. He burned those bridges

I said before that Lane would come here for a bag full of belly button lint and a loaner car. He's been openly campaigning for it for months.
That said, ain't happening nor should we want it to. Kiffin is a bomb waiting to explode somewhere.

Who's more desperate, Kiffin or UT fans?

I think Kiffin will crush it whenever he gets another big job.
Nick Saban and Pete Carroll are 2 of the 3 greatest college coaches of this century and they couldn't be any more different. Kiffin has now learned from both. He's also an offensive genius, maybe the best in the country, as well as a dynamite recruiter.
I honestly believe he will be a great coach who'll win Championships somewhere. I'm actually sad he won't be considered to replace Saban one day.

I think that I have seen it all now. Never would have thought that they would ever forgive Kiffin.

Not sure what kind of pwn you are angling for here, illiterate user JCinBAMA, but I hope all is well and you have a spectacular thanksgiving

I agree that he has great potential. He just needs to show maturity.

I humbly believe that if USC had never offered Kiffin their HC job, he quite possibly would still be at Tennessee. I won't try to guess at what his record would of been up until now but I'm willing to guess it would have been good enough to not have been fired. And he may have won a couple TSIO's as well.

Timing is everything tho. Even if Lane had left for USC had it been earlier in the coaching cycle he'd be in better shape for a return. I don't think Kiffin would've left for any other job but he did leave and whether he meant to or not, he scorched the Earth behind him.
Add in NCAA violation with less than a year on the job (and yes, Lane's frick ups also cost us Bruce Pearl) and it would take an enormous act of forgiveness coupled with an almost idiotic amount of hope and blind faith that he's changed to take him back.
