Yep

Tamu is one of the biggest programs in the country. Much much more money than auburn. Facilities are world class.

Huge recruiting playground in Texas.

Lane Kiffin would not fit in culturally tho so he might not really consider them and vice versa.

Doesn’t matter

History is…. History

Tamu wants to be relevant real badly.
Ole miss is stuck with small school in small stage bordered by alabama and Louisiana and a cross state competitor that punches above its weight in miss state. Auburn has a problem with bama and a backward state that is cleanly divided in loyalty between Bama and auburn so recruiting can be a bitch. Then there’s Saban…

In the modern era with NIL money, tamu is about as good a situation as you can get

I think Lane wants the NFL. That's what my Ole Miss friends say. Hates recruiting, just waiting for the right opportunity.

ETA:

The Kliff Kingsbury route.

I use to believe that as well. But then rumors about Texas joining started and I watched them completely unravel.

I fear they are so twisted up about the horns that they will allocate more resources to hurting the horns than to actually helping themselves.

Their accomplishments do not suggest they know what to do with those resources.

They are kind of like the government. They have resources but find a way to frick everything up.

They have a boatload of money and can outspend any program they choose to. Our ROI is much better at Auburn.
