Kyle came in at the last minute and helped his alma mater when they needed someone. Kyle played for LSU and had a great career in the NFL. He is a good man, and I'm sure he passed along some knowledge to the guys he coached that will be beneficial to their futures. He did it at the high level.

Don't eat your own, folks!

I’m not saying Elijah isn’t an upgrade.

He is. But you don’t have to cast shade on Kyle Williams.

It’s a dick thing to do. There is no need.

Yep! Too many people think the D Line didn't play well this year which is total BS. They played to the scheme they were running. Pyburn and Payton set the edges, and Guillory took on double teams. That freed up Gooden a lot to just beat his man which he was able to do.

People that bitched about the defense this year don't remember 2023 very well. Also, the abysmal offense didn't help them at all. We aren't bowl eligible without this defense.

One of the tuff casualties of this coaching change. We can't have everything we think is right.

You do realize the four DL that signed were committed to us. That’s a pretty good recruiting job. I wish him nothing but the best. He came last year because his school where he played was hurting on the defensive front. It may not have been perfect but I definitely saw improvement after he got here

This is 100% accurate. I’m from Ruston and worked with Kyle’s father for over a decade thus I know Kyle. Williams does not need the money, nor did he ask for the job at LSU. He was coaching at Ruston High for free until they made him take a little salary. Kyle would rather be a good husband, father, and play golf, hunt and fish, and do whatever he wants to. Most people don’t know big Kyle is a scratch golfer. Playing for the Bills was a full time job for 13 years. He told me he didn’t feel 100% healthy until about year 10 in the NFL. Kyle is a great man. No reason to overthink this or eat our own. Hope he enjoys playing golf at Squire Creek. Wouldn’t be surprised when his 5 children are out of high school he ends up employed in some capacity by the Buffalo Bills if he wants back in football.

He's not being replaced, he is volunteering to leave and pursue other aspirations. He was never asked to leave.
